Refund Policy – Damaged or Broken Items

At Gerhard Wiese Knives, every blade leaves our workshop having passed a rigorous quality inspection. If your knife arrives damaged or develops a structural defect due to a manufacturing fault, we will make it right.

Eligibility

  • Claims for damaged or broken items must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
  • Items must not show signs of misuse, improper storage, or modification.
  • Proof of purchase and clear photographs of the damage are required to process your claim.

Resolution Options We will offer one of the following at our discretion:

  • Full replacement of the item
  • Store credit to the value of the original purchase
  • Refund to the original payment method

Damage resulting from normal wear, improper use, sharpening by an unqualified party, or accidental breakage is not covered under this policy.

Lifetime Warranty – Sharpening & Blade Care

We stand behind every knife we craft — for life.

All Gerhard Wiese Knives come with a lifetime warranty covering professional sharpening and blade care services. This means:

  • Your knife will be resharpened to its original factory edge at no charge, for as long as you own it.
  • Basic blade maintenance and care assessments are included at no cost when the knife is returned to us.
  • The warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

Conditions

  • The knife must be returned at the owner's shipping cost. We cover return shipping back to you.
  • Blades that have been structurally modified, reground beyond original profile, or damaged through misuse may be excluded at our discretion.
  • Turnaround time is typically 2–4 weeks depending on workshop load.
